Your Body Is Giving You Clues.
Are You Listening?

Hi, I'm Doctor Martin of the Martin Clinic.
I want to tell you a story that happened to me recently. Just driving my vehicle and one of the lights came on on the check the engine lights. And you know what? I don't know anything about my vehicle but I brought it to a good friend of mine, a mechanic. And he said, "Thank God you brought this car in," because I was actually losing oil and I had no clue. And it could have ruined the engine. Well you know what? Your body acts like that.
You're not healthy one day and sick the next. Well, thank God, really then. You know, it just doesn't happen overnight but unfortunately, traditional medicine misses out on this journey that your body is on. You know, like I said, you're not healthy today and then get diabetes tomorrow. You're not healthy today and get cancer tomorrow.
You're not healthy today and get cardiovascular disease tomorrow. It just doesn't happen like that but your body gives clues. It's check the engine light comes on.
Let me give you an example of something very, very typical I see in the office on a daily basis. People come in, they're frustrated and I can tell that right away.
But they come in and they go, "Doc, I am exhausted. I don't feel good. But I've gone through the traditional testing. You know, I'm not anemic. My thyroid according to routine blood test are within normal limits and I don't know what's going on with me but I know it can't be normal."
And of course it's not normal. It's never normal for ... if you're tired, you know, you had a long weekend and you're tired on Monday. That's normal. But what isn't normal if that fatigue goes on for a period of time. That is the body giving you a clue.
There's other examples, I hear this every day in my office. "Doc, I have not changed my diet one iota and yet I'm gaining weight." Well, that for sure is not normal. That is a hormonal issue. "Oh yeah, but Doc, I had my hormones tested." And they're again, within normal limits. I have hair loss, I've got brain fog, I don't sleep anymore, I fall asleep but I can't stay asleep, I have acid reflux. Never had that before either. These are typical check the engine light, warning signs in your body.
It's a clue that your body is no longer operating at optimal level and it's heading down the path to disorder. And you know what? You need to take those clues seriously.
We at the Martin Clinic, this is what we do. We sort of think outside the box and realize that these are actual signs of your body ... and you know, for example, this is what I hear also with acid reflux, "Oh, I just took a pill and as long as I take a pill, the symptoms go away a little bit." I said, "Well, that's like driving down the highway in your car and you hear a knock in the engine and you turn the radio up so that you don't have to hear that engine knock." No, that's not the way to health.
The clues are very important. So, in the next video, I will explain to you what you need to do specifically about those clues and how to test to see where your body is exactly on the road you're on right now.
