A Temporary Pause on US orders
We’re relieved the government delayed the new tariffs on Canadian products for a month while they negotiate.
But since the deal to pause the tariff happened just hours before it was supposed to begin, US customs is now confused about packages crossing the border.
Like many companies, we’re waiting for US customs to give us clear answers before shipping into the US again.
Until we get clear answers, we’re pausing US sales temporarily.
The most important thing you need to know is that we’ve been preparing for this.
In case you didn’t know, the Martin Clinic started back in 1911 in a small northern Ontario town called Timmins.
It was founded by Dr. David Martin, and over the years, we’ve helped people with everything from hormones to digestion, pain, and autoimmune issues.
As word spread, people from all over the world began asking for help.
They couldn’t always travel to see us, so they wanted a way to access our formulas.
That’s when we realized our supplements needed to be available to everyone—no matter where they lived.
Today, many of our loyal customers are from the US. And we don’t take that lightly.
In fact, the Martin family is just as American as Canadian.
Over 30 years ago, Dr. Martin Jr. married his wife Ericka, an American.
For the past four years, they’ve been living in the US, surrounded by their American kids and grandkids.
So, you can see how much the US matters to us.
That’s why, months before the tariff was even announced, we had already started a plan to manufacture our supplements in the US for our US customers.
We knew this wasn’t just about avoiding possible costs—it was about serving you better.
Faster shipping. Less hassle. Same high quality.
Now, sourcing the right ingredients has taken some time.
We don’t cut corners. Ever.
Our probiotics, for example, take 8 weeks to grow each strain.
That’s what makes them strong enough to survive stomach acid and actually work where they’re supposed to—in your gut.
But we’re on track.
By March, our goal is to have US manufacturing fully up and running, with our products made and shipped directly from the US.
That hasn’t changed.
While we navigate the short-term challenges these tariffs may cause, one thing will never change:
We will find a way to make sure you can keep getting the supplements you rely on—without raising your costs.
We’re committed to you.
Thank you for trusting us, and we’ll keep you posted as we learn more.
Dr. Martin Jr. and Sr.
