Here are 5 Common Adrenal Fatigue Symptoms
1. You’re tired all the time.
It’s impossible to have energy if your adrenals are overworked. In fact, when your adrenals are overworked…you’re tired all the time. This is the biggest indicator of adrenal fatigue.
2. You can’t sleep.
I see a lot of people in my clinic who can’t sleep. They can’t fall asleep, or stay asleep, or both. If they do manage to sleep, they wake up exhausted.
3. You feel anxious.
Cortisol acts like a stimulant. It gets your heart beating faster, your breathing gets quicker, and your muscles get tense. This makes you feel nervous, restless, or tense.
4. You have STRONG cravings for junk food.
Cortisol causes your blood sugar levels to spike and then drop quickly just like a yo-yo. When this happens, you will crave junk food or salts. This make its almost impossible to lose weight if you have chronically high levels of cortisol.
5. You’re sore for no reason.
This one is surprising for most people. Cortisol tells your muscle to get ready to ‘fight or flight’, which makes them tense. Imagine how much of a beating your muscles take if your cortisol levels are high all the time.
