Dr. Martin:Β  Well, good morning, everyone. Welcome to another live this morning. Hope you're having a great start to your day. Okay, guys, I know I've done this on the program.

When I say, hello, okay, I got three, maybe four studies that I want to talk to you about today, where I'm saying, hello, where have you been? I've been talking about this for a long time. Hello out there. Okay.

Now, here's the first hello. Okay, new study. The impact of probiotic supplementation on chemotherapy and radiation therapy and associated with diarrhea and quality of life. Okay, out of the Indian Journal of Pharmacology.

Now, let me give you what they said. Hello, hello. Taking a probiotic while you're taking chemotherapy or radiation therapy is a good idea. The problem is nine out of 10 oncologists, well, you better not take anything while you're getting chemotherapy.

That Dr. Martin, he's a quack. Don't listen to him. You're not supposed to take anything when I'm giving you chemotherapy.

I was telling patients, at least take a probiotic. If you think antibiotics, carpet bomb, your microbiome, just imagine what chemotherapy does. Just imagine what radiation does to your microbiome. Like it's unreal, guys.

It's unreal. They did a study in the Indian Journal of Pharmacology. Hello. You know, sometimes I wonder if medicine has lost their collective minds.

I've been saying this for so many years. I was telling someone yesterday, I think I've been talking about probiotics for 40 years. Is there anything negative about taking good bacteria? Nope.

And yeah, even when you're taking an antibiotic. Hello. I've been saying that for years. You know, don't take a probiotic with an antibiotic.

Yes, you do. You got not millions, not billions, but trillions of bacteria in your body. You're fearfully and wonderfully made. And you got good guys, and you got bad guys, and you better replace the good guys.

Otherwise, you're going to create a dysbiosis. Okay? A dysbiosis. A dysbiosis.

A dysbiosis. A big word to mean it's an uneven fight, that you're going to have a lot more bad guys than good guys. Now listen to this second study. That was the first study this morning.

Okay? Good idea to take a probiotic while you're taking chemotherapy. Your quality of life is improved. You got a lot less digestive issues, including diarrhea.

Okay? Now, hello, number two. Okay? The first one, chemo, radiation, take a probiotic.

Secondly, here we go with a hello. Okay, listen to this. I got this out of PubMed. Okay?

Here it is. Gut microbiome dysbiosis. Okay? So we just talked about that.

In autism, 10 years of studying it and therapeutic strategies because they're saying in autism, I'm going to put this in plain English, in autism, the gut is messed up. The microbiome is all messed up. Hello. Now, how many times over the years have we talked about autism on this program?

When I was in school in the 70s, there was no such thing. I'm sure there was, but we didn't know about it. I never studied it. If I go to my right and look at my medical books that I have here on my shelf, you can look under A and you ain't finding autism in those old books.

Wasn't there. Never heard of it. And like I've said many times on this program, I think it was 1979 or whatever, I had a colleague of mine tell me that he had two autistic sons. I said, what is that?

What are you talking about? I never heard of it. And I'd been in practice for about five years. I never even heard of autism.

Oh, he said, I got two boys and he told me all about it. And I mean, I was taken aback. Today, we really have, and sometimes we overuse the word epidemic, but not with autism. It's incredible.

And I heard some dummy, and I mean dummy the other day. I don't care. You can go tell them that I said he's a dummy. Well, we're just better at diagnosing it.

What? We went from when my friend, my colleague told me about his two sons. I never had heard of it before, but not only that. It was one in 50,000 or something kids would get autistic in the 1980s.

You know what it is today? One out of 17 or 18 kids that are born have autism. What in the world happened? Now, here's what the study is saying.

There's a huge connection between the gut, the microbiome of an autistic child compared to a normal child. Hello. I'm not trying to be over dramatic here, but it's almost like I told you, I told you. And let me back up a little bit.

A lot of you have heard this before, but we got a lot of new people on every day, so I got to explain things. So if you hear me repeating, bear with me. Now, the gut has a lot to do with the brain. You know that, I know that.

And antibiotics, because I'm going to aim at them for a minute, even though you guys know me, if you need an antibiotic, you take an antibiotic. But the problem is, antibiotics, especially in mummy during pregnancy or just before, or baby taking antibiotics in the first couple of years, ear infections, usually that's number one.

It changes the microbiome, even in the placenta. When you don't have enough friendly bacteria, folks, you get a dysbiosis. You take an antibiotic, even just for five days, it carpet bombs the microbiome. There is no more bifidin.

They're gone. Lactobacillus, wiped out. And you know, people, because you can't see it, you don't think of it. And because there's no little light on top of our heads that says, you know what, we're missing bacteria here.

These poor little canaries in the coal mine, these autistic kids, they get a yeast, they get a fungus, they get a dysbiosis. The Trojan horse comes in of fungus, Candida, and it spreads like wildfire. And look, let me just say a few other things, because I think this is important. Listen to what I'll say.

Any autoimmune is leaky gut. It's fungal. Okay? It just took longer to show up.

How did I get MS? How did I get psoriasis? How did I get eczema? How did I get Sjogren's?

How did I get Crohn's disease? How did I get an autoimmune thyroid condition like Graves or Hashimoto's? How did I get all that? Why?

I'm telling you. It's leaky gut. Leaky gut. In this case, in autistic children, leaky brain.

And now they're starting to say it. Hello. Today is a whole load day. Okay?

They're starting to look at autistic children's microbiome. And they go, you know what? It ain't normal. No, it's not.

No, it's not. And then you add 72 vaccines. That might have an effect too, but the effect that it has is on leaky gut, the microbiome. I'm telling you guys.

And antibiotics are the greatest discovery of the 20th century. There's no doubt in my mind about that. I give medicine high fives. They do good things.

You got a raging infection, a cellulitis or whatever. You get your butt to a hospital. Do you understand me? Then get the antibiotics as fast as you can.

I've got no issue with that. That's the best thing you can do. But you better take care of your microbiome. You better take care of the southern border.

Okay? Because you don't want stuff like yeast leaking into the bloodstream. And what happens in the southern border, your gut blood barrier, will happen at the northern border, the blood brain barrier, autism. Okay?

Hello. Hello. The microbiome. They looked at their stools and their gut bacteria.

And guess what? They got different microbiome. They're missing and they're full of fungus. Okay.

Hello. Okay. You guys getting tired of that yet? This is study number three.

Okay? Study number three. The first two are on the microbiome. Chemotherapy, radiation, for heaven's sakes, take a probiotic.

Autism. The microbiome. Damage. Carpet bomb.

Thirdly. Okay? A 2026. Let me read it to you.

This is very awkward for a lot of people. Awkward. Okay? Now, hello.

Here's what they're saying. A 2026. Seems to me we're still in 2026. Are we not?

So this is very recent. A pooled analysis of around 1.8 million people compared meat eaters to vegetarians and vegans. Okay? Now, guess what?

Vegans, vegetarians had a 40% higher risk. Hello. Of colorectal cancer. Now guys, look at me.

Look at me. Because I got a migraine when I read it. I'll tell you why I got a migraine. Not that I'm arguing with the results.

Is it because of the stupidity of our world? Red meat causes colon cancer. I heard that go back with me even into the 70s. I heard it.

Bacon causes cancer. No. No. It doesn't.

You live on plants. You live off the plant kingdom. And I used to tell this to my patients all the time. You're making a big boo boo.

Why? You're making a big boo boo. Because I had a lot of young people especially. They go to school, they hear this.

The animal kingdom is to enjoy not to eat. Okay? Pets are more important than people. Okay?

And young people, they believe that. And young people, they believe that. I mean it. Okay?

So you can't eat a pet. I said, well, you got a cow for a pet? Well, it's got eyeballs, Dr. Martin.

I don't eat anything but eyeballs. I heard that a thousand times. And I was looking across my desk. Okay?

Usually I had a young girl but there was young guys too. And I said, you're like Casper the ghost. Your tail is a ghost. You're living on vegetables and some fruit.

And I said, your body wasn't designed for that. And I said, can I change your mind? Well, bacon causes cancer. Uh, no, it don't.

No, it don't. And I can't even think of a vegetable that has got more nutrients in it than bacon does. Broccoli? Uh, no.

Look, I like broccoli. I got a grandson named Brock and I call him broccoli. I love him. But guys, you just got to be honest.

You look at the nutritional profile of food. I'm not convinced. Does that mean you can't have any plants? I'm not saying that.

You want to have vegetables? Enjoy. But don't live on them. A 2026 pooled analysis of almost 2 million people.

Colorectal cancer, by the way, guys, is one of the fastest growing cancers in our population today. Colorectal. Listen, when I was in school in the 70s, I'll just give you a hint. It was an old man's disease.

If anybody was going to get colorectal cancer, it was an old goat like me. Unheard of in women. It was like pancreatic cancer in the 70s. It happened extremely rare.

Today, not so much. And the same thing with colorectal. They're wondering, why are all these young people getting colorectal cancer? And I'm telling you, fiber is overrated.

I read about five articles yesterday about the importance of fiber from the gurus. They just can't get away from it. Fiber. Fiber.

Like you're going to win a prize if you have a big bowel movement. Nah, fiber's overrated. And it's not the people eating fiber that are doing well. It's colorectal cancer.

And guys, listen, I'm not just blaming it on too much fiber. Let me give you the other one. That this is really important. I'm going to bring this study back to the microbiome.

Because I'll tell you what the world out there does. It feeds the wrong army. What do I mean by that? You've got your good guys.

You've got your bad guys. Okay? And as long as they're equal, it's called you win. You've got good bacteria.

You've got bad bacteria. And as long as they're copasadic, it's called you win. But one of them, your good guys gets carpet bombed. You get an invasion of the third army.

The Trojan horse comes in. It's called Candida albicans. And it ain't good. It ain't good.

Because yeast, fungus, when it gets into the bloodstream, it crosses the southern border that's non-existent and then can get across the northern border. Okay? We talked about that. But when it comes to colorectal cancer, your friendly bacteria in your gut, it's on your side.

It fights that fungus. And what happens in our day and age? You know what we do? We carpet bomb our good guys.

Fungus comes in and yeast, fungus, is found in almost every tumor. Some say parasites. I say yeast. Some say parasites.

I say yeast. Some say parasites. I say yeast. It's fungal.

And tumors grow because you don't have enough friendly bacteria. You're feeding with sugar. Today, like almost 200 pounds per individual, are feeding sugar to the yeast and it makes things grow. And it grows, grows, grows.

That's cancer. That's tumors. Feeding the bad guys. The cancer in the lungs.

40% higher rates of colorectal cancer. You want fiber? Drink coffee. You want a prebiotic?

Drink coffee. You want to feed your good bacteria? Eat steak. And I know there's a lot of voices out there that don't agree with me.

Sorry, I never moved. I haven't changed. I'm telling you what I've been telling you for years. Hello.

You don't have four stomachs to eat, to live on vegetable. A rabbit does. A rabbit makes enzymes that you don't make. A cow has four stomachs.

Let them eat grass so that you can eat steak. Let them eat the salad. I know, I know you love your salad. Like the Martin's Salad.

I heard that in my office a million. Well, what am I going to do if I can't eat my salad? I said I didn't say you couldn't eat it. I said you can't live on it.

You're living on it. Stop it. OK, I better stop saying hello. Hello.
