TRANSCRIPT OF TODAY'S EPISODE

Announcer:  You're listening to The Doctor Is In Podcast, brought to you by MartinClinic.com. During the episode, the doctors share a lot of information. As awesome as the info may be, it is not intended to diagnose, cure, treat, or prevent any disease. It's strictly for informational purposes.

Dr. Martin:  Well, good morning everyone. Hope you're having a great start to your day. We appreciate you coming on here live this morning. Those of you who can, let's get to some news headlines. Let me see here. This one we talked about back, but I'm going to mention it again, glycation. Okay? You know what glycation is, right? Glycation. You get oxidation, okay? One way we age. Oxidation, we really literally rust out. That's called oxidation, and another word we use for it, free radical damage, oxidation, and then there's glycation. Collagen gets glycated and arteries Get glycated. Caramelized joints get glycated. Okay?

Anyway, listen to this, and I think we have a whole podcast on this, but it was a new article that came out and it said glycation, okay, glycation. 10 times worse. Not only sugar, okay, sugar is bad because it's the major cause of glycation. How do we know that? Because you can measure it. You can measure it. Sugar attaches to hemoglobin. So when you get your A1C down, you guys know how much I love A1C. You know how much I love that test? A1C I like it better than almost any other glucose test, including insulin. It's not that I don't like insulin or insulin testing. I like it, but I love A1C. The glycation of a red blood cell, the hemoglobin within the red blood cell, you can actually measure it. Here's what they found. Okay, so sugar attaches itself to the red blood cell. You can measure it, glycation.

So it's called glycated hemoglobin, okay? That's one way. Here's what they're showing. High fructose corn syrup, the antichrist of sugars, GLYC case 10 times more than glucose does sugar. High fructose corn syrup the worst. And where have you heard that before? Right here? Talk about it all the time. High fructose corn syrup. First of all, your body don't even know what to do with it because it's a manmade heading right to your liver to damage your liver. And this is why we see so much fatty liver, even in children, non-alcoholic fatty liver, a major catastrophe. Today, the food industry has made us major and big time sick. Imagine kids with a condition called non-alcoholic fatty liver. I never, ever, ever thought in the 1970s that that could be even possible. We didn't even know what non-alcoholic fatty liver was. We didn't see fatty liver.

We saw cirrhosis of the liver. Fatty liver, yeah, high fructose corn syrup. Okay, that's one. And now we know it. Glycinates. That means it hardens. You lose the Teflon layer of your blood vessels 10 times more glycation than ordinary sugar, high fructose corn syrup. What an article. What an article. Do you think that's not a huge factor in diabetes? A huge factor in heart disease, a huge factor in cancer. You bet your boots high fructose corn syrup. I've been preaching about it for as long as it existed because I was screaming when they invented it and put it, remember in 19, I think it's 82, Coca-Cola and Pepsi Cola, they switched sugars. They went to high fructose corn syrup and it's been a disaster. The worst thing you can do, guys, the worst thing you can do is drink that stuff right to the liver in a nanosecond. They're drinking high fructose corn syrup. Okay? Terrible stuff. Anywho, glycation 10 times worse with high fructose corn syrup.

Okay? Humans study number 2 44 times more BPA than we thought originally. Humans are being bombarded by BPA microplastics 44 times worse than we thought. Okay? 40 times worse than we thought. My word and I always tell people, I always tell, look at the big picture. Look at the big picture. Why do I say that? Because you cannot get away from it if you understand that you're not getting away from it. That's really important because you get a lot of gurus, colleagues of mine that tell you, well, of course don't use plastic. Don't surround yourself and drink out of a paper cup and whatever. And guys, you can do whatever you want. I'm not telling you not to do that. I'm just telling you that in spite of that, I don't care what you do, you ain't getting away from it. It's better that you know. You ain't getting away from it.

Okay, so what do you do? Look, 44 times worse than we thought. Guys that don't surprise me. You pick up a credit card and a half a plastic microplastics every week on average. It's in the air, it's in the water, it's in the soil, it's everywhere. Okay? Now that's got to have a major effect on the body. Yes, it does. What's really important, okay, I'll just give you a little bit of insight here because it goes back to high fructose corn syrup and there's mercury in high fructose corn syrup, by the way, a toxin. But high fructose corn syrup goes where? In nanoseconds? Liver. Okay, liver. What is your body's big detox organ? What is it? You guys know liver, right? More than any other. Your kidneys, yes. Flush out lungs. You breathe out toxins. Yes, yes, yes, yes. But nothing's more important than you. You keeping your liver clean because a clean liver produces glutathione and glutathione is Velcro. This is why I talk about this so much. Empty your liver.

One of the ways you can empty your liver. The best way to empty your liver is change your diet. Get off all the sugars, do the reset. And in six days, this has been proven six days, your liver will empty itself out. What does that do? Well now you're detoxing. So even though your address ends with planet Earth, I don't want to know your zip code. I want to know if your address ends with planet Earth. I live on planet Earth. Okay? Well, you are going to be exposed to heavy metals. You are going to be exposed to microplastics, you're going to exposed to BPA, you are going to be exposed. So just put that in your no and up here, put it in your psyche. You're going to be exposed. You can go through your house 10 times, throw out everything, plastic, throw out your air, fresheners, throw out anything you clean with, throw it all out. Don't matter. Well, it does matter a bit, but you ain't getting away from it. So the idea is to keep your liver clean. Okay?

Let me show you something. I do this to you all the time. Five pounds of fat. See when you get fat in your liver, okay? Fatty liver, how do you get that? Mostly high fructose corn syrup. Too many carbs. You fatten up your liver fat don't make your liver fat. Sugar does, especially high fructose corn syrup, right? So you fatten up your liver when your liver's full of this. Okay? Remember it's the Costco parking lot. Go buy Costco. We have one in our hometown. The second it opens the parking lot's full. I've never seen anything like it, and it's consistent. And that's why I think of liver. When I think of the Costco parking lot, because people are walking around in my hometown, they have no idea that they have fatty liver. They don't know. No one's told them.

Doctors, unless you have cirrhosis or cancer, liver cancer, which has gone up a hundred fold today. Why is liver cancer so prevalent today? Why? Think about it. We change sugars. Man always thinks they're smarter than God. So here's what we're going to do. Sugar, no, let's change it. It's going to be sweeter. It's going to be more addictive. The tobacco industry that bought the food industry, you think they brought all their scientists that were experts in addiction. They were addiction scientists. They did it with cigarettes. Now they're doing it with food. People are addicts and they're fattening up their livers.

You know what this does in here? Okay, couple of things. One, whenever there's fat around an organ or in an organ fatty liver, okay, what happens? Well, your body responds to it. This is a foreign object to your body. Okay? I'm pointing at fact. It's a foreign object. Your body says that don't belong in here. So it releases cytokines and you get inflammation. The body's immune system reacts to this around your liver, in your liver, around your organs, okay? So you get inflammation. Inflammation is a good thing, except when it don't get turned off, then it'll turn on you two. When the liver is full of this, it cannot produce glutathione the way it should. What is glutathione? It's Velcro. Glutathione is sent through your bloodstream from the liver to do what? Pick up toxins except when you have fatty liver. Okay? So you decrease glutathione, you increase inflammation, and your body cannot detox your body's self-cleaning oven.

It don't detox, and now you're accumulating all those plastics. You're accumulating your body can get rid of it, and then you even produce more inflammation and inflammation. Again, like I said, it's on your side if you have a fever, if you have a bug, but if you have heavy metals, inflammation is not on your side. It breaks down tissue, it breaks down blood vessels. Inflammation is not meant to be there for a long period of time. It's one of the big factors. Inflammation in autoimmune, the body's turning on itself. You can't detox. And so people always ask me, doc, how do I detox? How do I detox? Well, number one, cut out the sugar, cut out the high fructose corn syrup that'll cut out the fat in your liver. And you know what? When you empty the Costco parking lot, your liver will work and it will detox you like nothing else will.

I love probiotics because probiotics, they really do help with the detoxification process, especially when you have certain strains like L rooti and L rosis. Those two strains are really, really important Detoxers because they literally latch on to a plastic and carry them out of the body. It's another reason why I love broad spectrum probio. Okay, here's the study. It's worse than we thought the headline 44 times worse than we thought. And I tell people, okay, here's me fear, not. Fear not. I'm not burying my head in the sand. I know it's bad, but I have a lot of faith in the human body. Amazing. Like I tell you guys, on a daily basis, you are fearfully and wonderfully made. Your body is a detox machine. If only you will let it do its job and your body cannot do its job. When your liver is all gummed up and there's a liver kidney connection, you want to detox, and this is why I'm big on water, flushing, flushing, flushing, kidneys. Okay? Flushing, Niagara falls of your body, flush it out.

Anywho, I thought I would bring that. Okay, so we did glycation with high fructose corn syrup, humans 44 times more BPA than we thought. Wow. Okay, here's another study. I like this one. You and I know this, you and I know this. It has to do with blood work again, okay? It has to do with blood work. So you know how much I love A1C because it'll talk to you about glycation. Okay? Here's another one, and I talk about this a lot. Triglycerides, this is a new study linking triglycerides to Alzheimer's, linking triglycerides to Alzheimer's. Now, how do you make glycerides? How do you make those fat balls in your body? You guys know this. How do you make triglycerides, right? So what do you do? So it's very important that you lower your triglycerides. So when you look at blood work, you don't have to be a physician.

Well, as a matter of fact, it's almost better that you're not a physician when you look at blood work. Because oftentimes you tell your doctor, I love your doctor. Don't tell 'em. Dr. Martin said, could that usually waving a red flag in their face? They don't like that. When I was in practice, I used to tell my patient, stay quiet. You need your doctor, okay? So don't chew them off. Don't get them angry. Don't go to your doctor and say, Dr. Martin said they don't like that even though they should listen. Do you know how many doctors don't look at triglycerides? They're so focused in on your cholesterol. They're so brainwashed in cholesterol readings and even the wrong ones in cholesterol, they're so focused in on total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, they miss the boat. What? They don't look at the way they should unless it's flagged, but even then, they don't know how to fix it.

Triglycerides are fixed by food high triglycerides. Let me read you this study link between high triglycerides and Alzheimer's, link between high triglycerides and heart disease, link between high triglycerides and diabetes. Hello. Have we not been talking about that for a long time? If you haven't got the book, sun, steak and Steel, get it. I'll tell you why to get it because I tell you how to interpret your blood work. I spend a whole chapter on it. You don't have to be a rocket scientist nor a physician. As a matter of fact, you'll zero in on things that are absolutely essential for your health. And now like the studies are showing, wow, you got high triglycerides, try What's tri mean? Three. Okay, glycerides. What's that mean? Fat. Three fat balls. Fat balls.

Now listen, Linda and Larry, listen, how do you get fat in your liver? We talked about that this morning. How do you get fat in your liver, right? Sugar. What's worse? High fructose corn syrup, manmade sugar, especially when you drink it, okay? Especially when you drink it, that gives you fat in your liver. What happens when your liver is full of fat? Well, your body's not stupid. It says, let's send those things out in the form of triglycerides. Let's empty the liver as much as we can. So it ends up in your bloodstream. Try three fat balls in your blood and you can measure that. This is why I always tell people, and you'll read this in the book, you want to know if you have fatty liver? You don't even need liver enzymes. You could.

But if you see in your body that your triglycerides are high and your teeter-totter effect, your triglycerides are high, and your HDL cholesterol is low, and it's almost always like that. It's a teeter totter. High triglycerides, low HDL. You're in dooo, you're in trouble. Your liver is full of fat. There's no room in the Costco parking lot. It sends that fat in the form of triglycerides into the bloodstream clogging, clogging your blood vessels. Unfortunately, if triglycerides are high, usually HDL is low and HDL are trucks with trailers, okay? HDL trucks with trailers. What? Well, those trucks, cholesterol is always going through your blood, okay? Remember that.

You don't have to know everything about cholesterol. Just know this. You can't live without it. And it's always flowing through your bloodstream because they're trucks with trailers. H-D-L, L-D-L, they got trailers in the back of them. What are they doing? They're delivering your hormone. Why do women have so much trouble with hormones? So often? It's their diet. They don't have enough trailers. They don't have enough trucks on the highways and byways of their blood vessels delivering hormones like estrogen and progesterone and testosterone. Men, we don't eat any cholesterol. So what happens? Our cholesterol is too low. Why do you want low cholesterol anyway? Triglycerides, when they're high, your body has the ability to send out trucks to bring those triglycerides back into the liver for processing. But what if your cholesterol's too low?

Your triglycerides are high, they stay in the blood. What do triglycerides do? They clog up. They're fat balls. They clog up your arteries. Even the little small vessels in your brain, they clog up the highways of your blood vessels. You don't want high triglycerides. And remember, very, very, very important to remember this, very important to remember this. Triglycerides never get high. You're eating fat. No. Well, maybe you're eating the wrong fat, but if you're eating saturated fat, animal fat that don't give you triglycerides, that'll give you HDL, it'll elevate your HDL, which is good, right? You want that. You want more trucks. You want more delivery trucks. Not only delivering your hormones, but bringing those triglycerides out of your bloodstream, those fat balls.

So guys, this is really key. Really key. The link between triglycerides and Alzheimer's, the link between high triglycerides and heart disease, the link between triglycerides and diabetes. The link between, I'm adding this one. The link between triglycerides and fatty liver. You got that teaching? It's so important. It's so important. And unfortunately today, medicine, don't look at that. But they're so focused in on cholesterol. They're so focused in, they can hardly think that cholesterol is so bad for you. Man, it's hard to change. It's in their DNA. What did I call it years ago on my radio show? Looking for love in all the wrong places. That's what I used to call it. When you're focused in on cholesterol and not triglycerides, looking for love in all the wrong places.

Okay, let's leave it at that. I got a couple of more that I want to do. We can do that tomorrow. Yeah, why don't we do that? We'll do that tomorrow. Got a few more. And it's always repetition. But remember, for my audience here, a lot of new people every day. A lot of new people every day. So I am a repeat guy. Rinse and repeat. That's me. Okay? And maybe some of you get tired of that. I hope not. I need to repeat the stuff in my head, okay? But anyway, that's the way we operate here on the Doctors Is In podcast. We love you guys. Best audience in the world is my audience, and it ain't even close. Okay? The best help audience around my audience. I love you guys. Okay? So Q and A Friday, it's a coming. So get your questions in to info@martinclinic.com. Okay? Tell your friends about the Doctors Is In podcast. They can listen, Linda, on their favorite smart device, the Doctors Is In podcast.
