TRANSCRIPT OF TODAY'S EPISODE

Announcer:  You're listening to The Doctor Is In Podcast, brought to you by MartinClinic.com. During the episode, the doctors share a lot of information. As awesome as the info may be, it is not intended to diagnose, cure, treat, or prevent any disease. It's strictly for informational purposes.

Dr. Martin:  Well good morning everyone. Once again, welcome to another live this morning. Nice to have you on with us. We appreciate you guys when you can make it, and we sure appreciate all our friends that say hello to us on a daily basis. Thank you for that. Good morning, guys. Okay, what's new under the sun? In Ecclesiastes Solomon said, there's nothing new under the sun. Well, what's new? There is new stuff in our healthcare and it ain't good. Okay, so yesterday, I think it was yesterday, I watched Robert Kennedy Jr. He's coming before, I think it was for his budget, for NIH or whatever. I only watched a few minutes of it. It came up on my stream. And the hatred from some members on that committee is unbelievable.

But guys, it don't shock me. You know why? Because the pharmaceutical industry, do you think they want anything to change? Do you think they want anything to change? They've got 90 million Americans, 90 million Americans on statin drugs, cholesterol lowering medication. You know how many billions of dollars that is a year for Pfizer and Bayer and the rest of the big ones. They don't want anything new. They don't want anything changed. I was reading a stat the other day, 47 million people in the United States alone are on SSRIs. Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil. 47 million Americans are on that. Do you think they want that change? They don't want any change, so they're going to fight it. And I'm not going to hold my breath onto how much is going to change in healthcare.

Canada, we're no better, we're no better at all. And everybody just like they want the status quo, but it's not working. I only, guys have to go back 50 years ago, okay, 50 years ago, what's changed? What's changed was not for good, not in healthcare. 50 years ago, we didn't even know what fatty liver was. I mean it, I didn't study fatty liver in school. I studied cirrhosis of the liver, alcohol, but never studied fatty liver sugar. A kid today, every 13 years consumes one ton of sugar, a ton. You think the body was made for that? When I was in school in the 1970s, guys, I never even heard of autism. And now you've got, I don't know, it depends where you are. One out of 20, one out of 30 kids born autistic. It's crazy. I never heard the term, the 1970s pre-diabetes. You either were diabetic or you weren't.

And guys, I'm going to tell you something, diabetes was extremely rare 50 years ago. It's not that it wasn't around. It was just extremely rare. And today we have the twin towers of diabetes and obesity. Guys, all we got to do, go to the mall, open your eyes and look at people today. It's incredible. We got the twin towers. You got diabetes and you have obesity, diabesity, and it's crazy. You got rampant autoimmune disease. Look, autoimmune's been around for a long time, but today it's up. I don't know about 50% from what it used to be. Why has it gone up so much? I always ask the question why? I've lived long enough to see enormous changes and not for the good, not for the good, not when it comes to health. You would think with all the money we spend, we'd be the healthiest people in the world.

We spend more money. What was I reading the other day? Americans spend 11,000 US per person. They got 300 and what, 50 million people, 340 million people. Healthcare in the United States is $11,000 a person. That's what it cost. That's what the budget is for, so-called healthcare. You know what it is in Canada? It's $13,000. Canada is not free guys, okay? Because a lot of people go, well, look, I mean it's free in Canada. It's not free. We pay for it in taxes and it's $13,000 per person. It's crazy. And that's all right. If we were getting the results, if we were healthy as horses, okay, you got 90 million people. And that's just in the US on statin drugs, cholesterol lowering medication, and we got more heart disease than ever. We have more heart disease than ever. We have more cancer than ever. We got more diabetes than ever. We have more, like 50 years ago. You know what I knew about Alzheimer's? Not much. Was it around? Yeah, sure, right? Yeah, sure it was, but we didn't see, I mean, people get old, but not like today. It's an epidemic today.

And the problem is, look, when it starts, it's not even necessarily a disease of old people. Younger people are getting Alzheimer's and dementia. Why? We're not getting guys the bang for the buck. That bothers me. And then soon as you get people even talking about it, they don't want to change. Like our politicians, my word, I'm sorry. All they want to talk about is vaccines and medication. To a politician, healthcare is not prevention. Healthcare is let's build bigger hospitals. Let's put more beds. They don't even talk about preventing. I mean, one good thing we did as a whole society, we all agreed with it. Every doctor agreed with this. Let's stop smoking. You know what? We got the memo. Woopie doopie, let's stop eating sugar. Let's stop adding high fructose corn syrup to everything. Well, good luck with that one.

Cereal companies, you know how much money they spend to keep us consuming their products? It's crazy. We have 3000% more high fructose corn syrup, which is the antichrist of sugars. 3000% increase in the use of that. Like when I was a kid, we had beehive corn syrup. I don't know if you guys remember that. Okay, today it's up 3000% and that's directly related to fatty liver, directly related because fructose makes a beeline for the liver. And we got big problems today. And what happens in the liver? Don't stay in the liver, unfortunately. Fatty liver is just the tip of the iceberg guys. What's underneath fatty liver? You know what I used to see this in my office, children with fatty liver. I mean, I would fall out of my chair just about. It can't be happening, but it is. Imagine that.

And then what happens is you got 93%. If you would've told me in the 1970s that 93% of the population had metabolic syndrome, I would've called you a liar right to your face. What? Well, you're going to see people with high A1C. You're going to see people with belly fat, okay, go back 50 years. What? You're going to see people with high blood pressure, elevated blood sugar, elevated uric acid, right? Waist of in men over 40 inches in women over 35 inches. In the 1970s I'd have said, are you kidding me? That can't be happening. Look, guys, there's always been sleep problems, okay? Always. But today, 70% of the population don't get a good night sleep. They don't get a recuperative sleep. They don't get it.

And what we know today is if you don't get a recuperative sleep, the self-cleaning oven of your brain doesn't work. You need a recuperative REM and five stages of sleep to get your brain detoxified. You need a good night's sleep to get your liver detoxified. The night shift comes in. But when you're sleeping, to clean up. Who would've thought in the 1970s that everybody on this planet, according to research, would be accumulating one and a half credit cards a week of plastic? What? You couldn't have told me that in the 1970s, I'd have said, you're crazier than a hoot owl. What? What you talking about? Guys, it's crazy. It's crazy, but it's true.

And you get guys like me, the John the Baptist of the world screaming, yelling at the top of my lungs, hello? What we're doing ain't working. We've been duped. We're spending all this money and we're worse than ever. Somebody should be fired, right? I've watched a few of these senators, I think they might've been congressmen. I don't know what they were, okay? They don't want any change. They don't want anybody to change. They don't want to talk about it. They want it to stay the way it is. They think if we just throw more money at it, and guys, it's no different than in Canada. Like the politicians in Canada. I saw the other day our new health, I think she's the health minister, or I don't know if she's the minister or the new health guru, Canada's new health guru. Are you kidding me? Her biggest thought was on the climate. What? Not food, not sugar, not processed foods. No, climate. I don't know, guys. Is it me? Am I the crazy one who's trying to talk about prevention?

Look, if you need a med, I'm not saying you don't ever take a medication, I'm just saying, how about we spend time, effort, money on prevention? Like medicine is detection, okay? I'm not against detection either, but how about we change to prevention? A lot of these things are 100% preventable. I'll tell you guys, and we've talked about this on this program many a time. It's energy, it's food. We're eating the wrong food. And the world's got it upside down. Okay? What's true is now false. Okay? It's all upside down. Don't eat red meat. Oh, like eggs. Be careful. Butter. Are you kidding me Dr. Martin? Butter. What about my cholesterol? See how people's brain have been twisted by the pharmaceutical? And guys, you know this. I talk about this a lot. There's huge forces in the world, and I'm not going to change that. I try and change individuals. I give high five to people that said, you know what? I'm taking control of my health. Start with me. Okay? Start with me.

Because in the world out there, and like I said, I saw it in a little five minute clip, you're going against big pharma and big food, two biggest conglomerates in the world. There's nothing like it. Big pharma and big food, they don't want to change. There's too much money, heart friendly food. They put a heart on a box of cereal. Yeah. You know why? Because if you eat cereal, you are going to have a heart attack. We got it all upside down, guys. And it all started with the cholesterol craziness as if your body doesn't need cholesterol. Heck, every cell in your body needs cholesterol. You can't live without cholesterol. And we got 90 million people taking cholesterol lowering medication. They don't know. They want to keep the masses ignorant, right?

What do you know? Like doctors, okay, why are you asking me questions? What do you know about health? You're not a doctor. I'll tell you, that's a good thing that's changed since the 1970s. 1970s, especially my parents' generation. What the doctor said, well, doctor is God. We don't question that, right? Everything's in Latin, so I don't understand anything, but my doctor does. You know what I love today? That's a good thing that's happened. People today, they question, okay? They don't question like they should, but they still question.

Guys, I'll tell you how silly our society is. Okay? When the virus came around, you guys know this. I was screaming. I was yelling at the top of my lungs and I can yell, okay? Don't be so stupid. Get out in the sun. Don't wear a mask. You couldn't go anywhere. I wanted people to get in the sun, vitamin D. I knew I was going against city hall, so to speak, but I was just trying to get to individuals and saying, ah, you know what? They're lying to you. They're lying to you. And big pharma took over with all their influence. They buy and pay for politicians. So what changes? Not much. They closed the whole world down. I wanted the whole world to go to Florida. I said, we'll meet you in Florida. Let's all go together. Let's get on the beach in the sun. That'll get rid of the virus. But no, no, no, no. They were emptying the beaches. The crazy, crazy, crazy, I tell you.

But again, it doesn't shock me. I've been around a long time. I see those powers, like I said, big food, big pharma, they run the world. Pepsi Cola, Coca-Cola, you think they want people to stop drinking soda? Are you kidding? So what did they do? They bought the food industry, big tobacco. What did they do? They put their money. They were gazillionaires. Philip Morris, gazillionaires. People have stopped smoking. What should we do with our money? Oh, I know. Let's buy the food industry. That's what they did. And you go up and down the grocery store and their shelves are full owned by PepsiCo, Coca-Cola, Kraft. Proctor and Gamble. Proctor and Gamble.

You know what happened in 1911, guys? Good and bad. What? 1911. Good and bad. The Martin Clinic was formed. 1911, my grandfather. Okay? You know what else happened in 1911? Proctor and Gamble, bad. They started making Crisco. Oh, anyway, today was sort of just talking about what happened. What in the heck? Why are we like this? Why is our healthcare system a disease care system? What happened to common sense? Why are half the population or more suffering from diabesity? Why are so many people on statin drugs? Why are so many people on Prozac as if Prozac's going to fix the problem?

Hey guys, at the end of the day, I point at you, my audience, I point at you and I give you high five because you guys get it. You understand. You can see behind the scenes of what's going on. You guys do. That gives me great encouragement. It's not that we're making up a big part of the population. No, but nonetheless, we're not duped. We're not fooled. We're not hoodwinked. We get it. We understand, right? And we see it and we go follow the money. But as for me, I ain't doing that. I'm going to try and take care of myself. I'm not going to rely on the government. I, I'm just not going to do it. Okay?
