1592. Flu Shot Shake-Up: What You Need to Know

Dr. Martin reveals shocking new research from the Cleveland Clinic showing that flu shots may actually increase your risk of contracting influenza by 27%. He dives into why this isn’t being discussed in mainstream media and challenges long-held beliefs about vaccine effectiveness.

Dr. Martin:  Well good morning everyone, and once again, welcome to another live and we appreciate you guys coming on with us as always, and thank you for that. Thanks for coming on guys. We appreciate it. Okay, now tomorrow we're going to talk about cancer in a new study that came out, kind of interesting. I want to go over it with you, but let's do that one tomorrow. Quite a few studies here, a Western diet. Yikes, that's us guys. A typical western diet. Unfortunately, it's not eggs, meat and cheese, it's processed foods, lots of sugar. A western diet during pregnancy increases the likelihood of childhood liver damage. Interestingly, a western diet during pregnancy increases the likelihood of childhood liver damage.

You know what? It's always amazing to me, and I have trouble processing this to some extent because when I was in school in the seventies, the only liver damage you ever talked about was cirrhosis of the liver. Okay? You studied cirrhosis, but you never even studied fatty liver, okay? And today, not only are we talking fatty liver, we're talking about it in kids, fatty liver. Now you can actually go back, right in pregnancy, if mommy's not eating properly down the road, even in a child, they can get fatty liver. That's what this study is saying. And today, with all the sugar and all the added sugar and all the hidden sugars, especially high fructose corn syrup, if mommy's eating that, that's going to come back to bite the child with liver damage. It's incredible. I never thought that I would ever see anything like it in my lifetime.

And to have fatty liver starting in children because guys, you know this, the world never talks about it. But you know this. Once fatty liver starts, it's what happens not only in the liver where you get fatty liver and guys, your liver. Think about that for a minute. Your liver is the home of the major detoxification of your body. Your liver is that organ. So what's going to happen if a person gets fatty liver? They accumulate heavy metals, they accumulate toxins, they don't make enough glutathione. Plus, when you get fatty liver, you're increasing your triglycerides, lowering your HDL. What does that do? Well, that liver and that liver damage is now transported into your blood vessels and off to your heart, because I always told you, you heard it here. Triglycerides are a big problem, not cholesterol. Well, cholesterol is a problem when it's too low. But think of the ramifications of fatty liver.

Like this study doesn't surprise me, but it blows me away nonetheless, because this should never happen. Fatty liver, I didn't even study fatty liver in school. There was no such thing as fatty liver. It wasn't in my textbooks. Cirrhosis of the liver was alcohol. Everybody knew that. But it's what's happening to our children today. It's bad news, it's incredible, and we got a long way to go to clean it up. I know in the United States, I like what Kennedy is doing. I really do. It's a start. I'm not a negative person, but I think I'm a realist. Like to change the food industry, not going to be easy. Changing big pharma, not going to be easy. I'm telling you that. There's too much power and too much money involved, but any little change. And guys, this is why I do what I do. I want to educate my audience. Then they can make choices. They can make wise choices, they can make decisions. Okay? So, a Western diet during pregnancy increases the likelihood of childhood liver damage. Absolutely incredible.

This is a new study out of the Cleveland Clinic, okay? It's not controversial to me, but I know this would be controversial, but I'm glad it's public and you can read about this study. The flu shot, okay? Doesn't work. Headlines. A new study out of the Cleveland Clinic. If you get the flu shot, you are 27% more likely to get the influenza. Now listen guys, I've been around a long time. I had a radio show for a lot of years and we used to talk about this all the time, and I would never, ever tell people not to get the flu shot. I wouldn't do that. I said, well, look, I'm just going to give you information. Then you decide. And I was always, always, always very, very big on you taking care of your immune system. God gave you immune system, take care of it, pump it up, and with vaccines or the flu shot or whatever, hey, you want to do that? That's up to you. I just want to give you information.

But now the studies are showing, it's actually worse. Now, again, I guarantee you this isn't going to be mainstream. I guarantee you they're going to hide this. I guarantee you that the powers to be, I mean, there's no way, in my opinion at least that this becomes mainstream and people are going to question the flu shot. I always questioned it because of its success rate. They used to say this. Well, if you get the flu shot, it gave you, it had about a 40%. This is what they told us for years, about 40% success rate. When I was in school, when I got 40% on any test, I failed. I flunked. Why would they tout that as being effective?

And I used to kind of chuckle at the CDC, the Center for Disease Control because every Fall their committee there would pick out what they thought would be the bug that would be going around in the wintertime and they would do a guess. And during my radio show, they never got it right. Out of all the years, they never got the right strain, but they said, that's all right. It'll give you some protection. But now out of the Cleveland Clinic, the flu shot doesn't work. Holy smokes. Now, I'm talking about this in the summertime, but remember, I always love the natural flu shot vitamin D right at the top of the list. What did I say during the pandemic? If we just give people vitamin D, but they never listened to me, as you well know. I feel like at times John the Baptist crying in the wilderness. Hello, hello out there. Vitamin D, oil of oregano, antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal. Vitamin A, eat your steak, vitamin A, eggs, meat, and cheese. Didn't I say that?

I love vitamin A. It gives you the real mask. I get a migraine when I see people still wearing masks today, I get a migraine. Do you think that really protects you? I feel like doing it. Okay, yesterday I was in the grocery store, I saw somebody wearing a mask. I wanted to go over and say hello. I got to shut my mouth. I got to stay quiet. I got to mind my own business. You learn that the first day in medical school, the first day, yeah, you're doing surgery, put a mask on so you don't spit all over an open wound. Are you kidding me? Oh, anyway, flu shot doesn't work. As a matter of fact, you're more than 27% more likely to get influenza, The Cleveland Clinic study. Guys, they could have done this years ago. They would've found out. Anywho take care of yourself. Take care of yourself.

Okay, now, I always bring you the news behind the news. I don't know if you guys ever see stuff like this, but stay tuned. I got lots of studies. I'm going to give you a headline and then I'm going to undo it, okay? Just because it's the silliness of it, okay? Every year raw milk causes 2.3 million illnesses. That's not true. Okay? Here's what it is. Every year, green leafy vegetables cause 2.3 million illnesses. Leafy greens responsible for significant portion of US foodborne illnesses, not raw milk. What do I tell you about milk? If you got a cow in the backyard, you can drink milk. I'm not big on milk. I'm big on mommy's milk and I'm big on cow's milk if you have a cow in the backyard, because otherwise it's denatured, the grocery store milk don't bother and you can't get raw milk. Well, if you can, you're a lucky person and that's not coming to a theater near you, okay? Because good luck. Good luck because they want to pasteurize everything.

Look, I don't want to get into the nitty gritty, although this study is showing. This is a study on foodborne illnesses. What's happening? Well, most of them come from green leafy vegetables, the e coli and the salmonella of the world. Okay? So be careful. That's all I'm saying. Did I tell you you couldn't have green leafy vegetables, your salad? You want to eat salad, ladies and your salad? Okay, I didn't say you couldn't have it. I'm just telling you that the vast majority of foodborne illnesses are coming from the worshiped vegetables. They're worshiped in today's world because of the religion of veganism and vegetarianism. It's a religion guys, not based on science. Okay?

What does somebody put the other day on our private Facebook group? They're asking, Dr. Martin, I'd like to have Dr. Martin's opinion because somebody told them that if you're eating like EMC, they didn't say it exactly like that, but if you're eating from only the animal kingdom, you're missing like amino acid and you got to supplement. I said just the opposite of that. Who told you that? Nutrition. You can't deny one thing about the animal kingdom. I know it's vilified, but for heaven's sakes, it's got all the amino acids. You don't have to supplement amino acids. But I'll tell you something, if you insist on eating salad, mostly you are going to be low in B12. I don't care who you are, you are low in B12, you're going to be low almost without exception in almost every amino acid, including the five Cs that I talk about, the carnitine and the carnazine and other essential amino acids that your body needs. You want to eat that way, okay.

In the office, I had a lot of vegetarians. And the first thing I would do once we listen, you waited to see me for several months to get an appointment. And then when you came, I was brutally honest, okay? Still a nice guy, I think. But I was honest. They'd tell me about their eating habits when they say, Dr. Martin, I can't eat anything that's got eyeballs. I don't eat anything in the animal kingdom. I said, okay, number one, can I change your mind? Some of them I could. I said, can I give you a little nutrition 101? Can I? And I'm going to give it to you whether you want it or not, but then you make that decision. I really want to change your mind because you're making a big mistake.

You're not meant to live on the plant kingdom. You might think you are because get on social media, listen to the gurus. Listen to 99% of doctors or whatever that know nothing about nutrition, and they'll preach to you religion rather than the truth, not true. And I'll give you a list of things. And as long as you insist and if you want to be healthy, you need to do this, this, this, this, this and that. You need to take these things the rest of your life because you're just not getting it. You're not getting it. It's not in the plant kingdom. You can't get heme iron. You can't get vitamin K2. You can't get from food vitamin D. You're not going to get any cholesterol. And you might think that's good. That's not good at all. You're not going to get the best fat, which is saturated fat, satisfied fat. You're not going to get the fat soluble vitamins that you need, including vitamin A. You're not, don't fool yourself.

And so you got to undo a lot of stuff. And like I said, you can bring a horse to water, but you can't necessarily make them drink. I used to try and get 'em to drink, and there were, I'm not going to say thousands of people over the years that I changed their minds. I got them thinking the other way, and I said, you'll thank me later. You'll thank me later. Every year. I did this on purpose. Raw milk causes because they won't even let you drink raw milk. In most places it's against the law. You can't drink it. Anyway, and guys, I never tell people they can't have a salad. I tease people, you can have a salad. Just don't live on it. That's what I tell people. Don't live on it. Don't be duped. Don't be deceived. That's all I tell people. You want to have a salad? Go for it.

And here's what I heard a million times in my office. Dr. Martin, where am I going to get my fiber? Fiber's so overrated. As a matter of fact, whenever I had a case of IBS, IBD, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticulosis, Crohn's, I'd get them off salad. No more salad, no more spinach til we fix you up. Why? It gets stuck. You want to have it in fiber and it gets stuck in the gut. It irritates the gut. Boy, oh boy. I got to tell you, Dr. Kellogg's was a marketing genius. Man, he fooled the whole world. Fiber. That's why you got to have Special K. I used to say, don't be a special kook by eating Special K. My body temperature's going down and my blood pressure's coming down. I just get crazy.
