Dr. Martin:  Well, good morning everyone. Welcome to another live this morning. Hope you're having a great start to your day, and I hope you had your vitamin C and good morning to each and every one of you. Okay, yesterday. Okay, and this is what made me think of it. Two things happened yesterday for me. I was raking the yard. Raking the yard. Why Spring cleanup after a long winter in Northern Ontario, right? Dead leaves all over the place, raking up the earth. One second thing that happened, I drove by Costco and guess what? The parking lot was full. As long as Costco's open the parking lot's, always full. So what are my takeaways? Let's talk about a spring cleanup in the Costco parking lot. Okay, now you're saying, now you guys know me, at least the ones that have been with me for years. You know what I'm saying?

We're talking about doing a spring cleanup for your liver. What do I call the liver? Costco parking lot because over 90% of the population, they have a gummed up liver. Their liver is all gummed up. Like the Costco parking lot. It's full. Do you know that your liver's not supposed to be full? Okay, your liver does 500 different things. The liver don't get a lot of respect. It's a lot like Rodney Dangerfield, okay? Doesn't get a lot of respect. It should. You can't live without your liver. And today the liver is in big trouble. Most people, and they don't even realize it. They have a liver that's all gummed up. And again, your liver does a lot of things. 500 different functions. Let me name a few. It's a storehouse for your vitamins and minerals. Did you know that? Yeah, your liver's a storehouse, but it don't work properly if it's all gummed up.

And that's why a lot of people, one of the reasons besides their gut that they are overed and undernourished. We have in North America a population generally that's over fed and undernourished. They're not getting the nutrients. It's easy to see because all you have to do is check one of the vitamins. You could check more than one, but here's one that is easily checked and that's B12 and vitamin B12, essential. You know how much I talk about it? And people are very deficient in B12 for many reasons. One of them is they don't digest it properly because they don't eat enough meat to keep their stomach acidity going. Number two, vitamin B12 is a finicky vitamin at the best of times. And if your stomach is not acidic enough, it's not going to produce the factor that it needs, the intrinsic factor that it needs to absorb B12.

And then your liver, when the liver's gummed up, you got a hard time because you're not storing B12. You need those vitamins stored, excess stored in your liver. What if there's no space? Exactly. So you have, I was going to say 50,000 enzymes in your liver. Your liver produces cholesterol, right? Well, because you need cholesterol in every cell in your body, but besides that, your liver produces it. Why? To transport hormones. And a lot of people, especially women, have hormones and not hormones. Why do we see so many young women with horror moles? One of the reasons, not the only reason, one of the reasons is their liver's all gummed up. The Costco parking lot is jam packed, so you're not producing enough. Amazon, FedEx, Canada Post us post trucks on the highways and byways of your blood vessels to carry your hormones. Men are walking around and they got no testosterone.

I mean, statistics are scary when it comes to men. Men are more women like than their wives. At 50 years old, they've got no more testosterone. Well, one of the reasons is the liver's gummed up. The liver is gummed up. Not enough sex hormones. There's an imbalance. The thyroid, again, mostly women have a very sluggish thyroid. Why is that? One of the reasons is the liver is gummed up. And I'll tell you something my friend. The liver only really gets gummed up. When you eat the wrong food, your liver gets full of glycogen and then full of fat. Why? When you eat the wrong foods, when you eat sugar and crappy carbs and you live on bread, pasta, rice, cereal, sugar, sweets, pastries, juice, milk, cow's milk in the grocery store, muffins and bagels and people oatmeal, they live on that stuff and their liver is all packed up like the Costco parking lot.

And now what happens? The liver can't get rid of toxins. The liver's gummed up your liver. You are made fearfully and wonderfully made. I don't know how many times I got to tell you this, your body's best detox. You don't have to take anything to detox, just let your body do its work. Your liver works, especially at night when you're sleeping, it'll clean itself out. It'll clean the body out because it produces glutathione and antioxidant, but not when it's full of gummed up. You'll produce glutathione but you won't produce enough of it. And you know what glutathione is? It's Velcro. So a lot of things happen at the liver. And besides that, when your liver is all gummed up, the way the body reacts to that is it sends triglycerides into the bloodstream and your triglycerides go up when your liver is gummed up and you know what else happens?

Your cholesterol, your HDL cholesterol goes down and that's a big characteristic in metabolic syndrome and insulin resistance and yada, yada yada. Lots of problems when the liver is gummed up, time to fix it. I was reading, let me just see if I can find it quickly. I was just reading it. If I don't find it quickly, I won't spend all the time on it. Well, the amount of toxins in microplastics, it was a new statistic on microtoxins. We always talk about one and a half credit cards a week. Okay? You accumulate in your body. I can't remember how many million particles of microplastic in a year. All of us were exposed to it. Your liver is the one that needs to do the job on that. But liver must be squeaky clean. Your liver must be squeaky clean. It must be empty to do its job.

Cholesterol, lower triglycerides, increasing your HDL men. It'll increase your testosterone. Ladies, it helps to balance out your thyroid. It will help to give you those sex hormones that you need, estrogen and progesterone. And you know what? You need cholesterol to transport those things. Unbelievable. Unbelievable. And people are gummed up today. They're like the Costco parking lot. And what is a better time? Because we're thinking about a spring cleanup, okay? Why not do the reset even for a week for those who have already done a reset and they're doing well and everything is good and yeah, that's great, and I want you to stay that way. Nothing wrong with doing a reset in six days, you will empty if for those who have good metabolic numbers and whatever, you know me with A1C and all that. That's how you tell. But I can tell you guys, it's not a bad time to do a reset.

Eggs, meat, and cheese. Do it for a week and you're going to empty your liver. It'll empty the liver of all its glycogen, all of its fat. That's the detox numero uno better than any other detox. I know you can buy a detox tint and you know what I mean? Do this and do that. And you got to eat anyway, right? You got to eat anyways. That's what I used to tell my patients all the time. Do you eat? Yes. Do you have to eat? Yeah. Yeah, you do. Well, okay, so I'm not sending you home not to eat. I'm not sending you home with a plan that you can't succeed with. I'm sending you home. You like eggs? Oh yeah, I like eggs. Doc, do you like meat? Yeah. Yeah, of course. I like meat. Do you like dairy, cheese, butter? Yeah, I like that.

Well, then go home and eat it. It's a hundred percent allowed. And for 30 days, if you do the reset, the complete reset, live on those things for 30 days. Thank me later. I said, I am going to prove to you, and remember in those days I had numbers to prove it to and you can prove it to yourself. If you want to get your lab work done before and after a reset, and for all the reasons I just talked about, it'll empty. One of the first things that happen when you're doing the reset is you're emptying your liver. I aim at an organ that you don't think about too much. People don't go around thinking about their livers very much. They should. They think about their heart, right? Oh my heart, they think about their brain. Oh, my memory, right? Yeah. You think about those things when it comes to health, you go, oh my heart, if you don't have a good heart, but what about your liver?

What about your detox organ? Okay, so time for a spring cleanup. Don't you think a good idea? It's like me raking the lawn yesterday. It was a great idea. Needed to be done. So what do you do? Okay, do the reset and you can do a reset for one week and you'll accomplish a lot. If this is your first time, I highly recommend you do the reset for 30 days. You have no idea because there's so much more involved in the 30 day process, especially yesterday, we talked about insulin resistance. We talked about check your engine light and strong indicators of insulin resistance. Go back and listen to that one. This is really the reason that I created the reset. People who had metabolic syndrome, and I was talking about that in 2011. Well, before that, I wrote a book about it in 2011, the metabolic syndrome.

I wrote a book called Two Hormones that Want You Dead. They were serial killers, insulin and cortisol. Insulin and cortisol. Once you dead, they want to kill you unless you fix them. And the one thing you can control is food. And the reset is so good for you. It starts by emptying out the liver. It starts by emptying out the liver. So it's really, really, really important guys. Okay, really important. So what do you do? Do the reset. You really want to empty your liver, do the reset. Okay? And even I talked a little bit earlier about detoxing, especially your liver. We know that your brain detoxes when you're sleeping, okay? We call that the glymphatic system, okay? The self-cleaning oven of the brain, but the liver, the body at night, the night shift comes in. You ever see these big office buildings? Nobody's in there except the cleaning crew.

They go in to clean. That's what happens in your brain, but also in your liver. That's why it's really good not to eat at night. That's why it's really good to have an empty liver. Of course, you're going to produce lots and lots and lots of glutathione. You're going to produce lots and lots and lots of cholesterol. Your liver makes 85% of it. You're responsible for 15%. And if you don't do your part, your body, yeah, you're not going to drop dead on the spot. If you don't eat animal products, if you don't eat eggs, meat and cheese, which has cholesterol, yeah, you're not going to die right away, but your liver will have to make up. You're going to be short on those fat soluble vitamins. You're going to be short in your storage of vitamins and minerals. You're going to be short because cholesterol's on your side and your liver is the key to your cholesterol, but you got to eat it too.

And you need those fat soluble vitamins anyways. Vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin K two. You need those good fats, right? You need those good fats and good fat-soluble vitamins with an empty liver. You'll do your heart a favor too, by the way, because you're going to lower your triglycerides and you'll up your HDL cholesterol, which is really, really, really good for you. Okay? Cholesterol is good for you guys. I don't care if it's LDL or HDL. I don't care what it is because it's just good for you. It's not bad for you. I'm sorry. I go against the grain. Am I right? Yeah, I'm right in my humble opinion. Okay? And the other thing too is very, very good for your liver and kidneys. H2O water, vitamin W at the Martin Clinic. Do you need water? Do you need water? Water cleanses, water like nothing else, cleanses.

It'll help keep your liver clean. It'll flush out the toxins in your kidneys. Niagara Falls, water go there at two in the morning. Oh, water's flowing. They didn't turn off the tap. Keep water flowing and nothing else is water. You know me and coffee. Do I love coffee? Yeah. Have I said coffee for the last 50 years is the real vitamin C? Yeah. Am I right about that? Yes. Research has proven it over and over and over again. Water and coffee. Do you know the coffee helps to detox your liver? What? Yeah. Listen, when I was in school, they used to talk about this a lot more than they do today. Ene animals. Okay, pleasant subject. Let's do an animal. But when I was in school, we were taught enemas and what was the best delivery system was an enema of coffee that went right through to the hepatic.

You know what hepatic means? The hepatic vein. You know what Hepa, not a hepa filter. Well, your liver is a HEPA builder, but hepatitis is what? Inflammation of the liver. Hepa. So coffee enema. Well, I'd rather you drink it than do an enema, but you could do an enema. People ask me about, I don't get asked much anymore about antibodies. I used to get a lot of that. It was much more popular at one time than it is today. But you don't have to do an animal, just drink it. Drink water and coffee, and you covering all your bases when it comes to drinking stuff. Guys, we love you dearly and sincerely. What's Friday q and a? Get your question and answers in. Okay? We love you. Talk to you soon.
