TRANSCRIPT OF TODAY'S EPISODE

Announcer:  You're listening to The Doctor Is In Podcast, brought to you by MartinClinic.com. During the episode, the doctors share a lot of information. As awesome as the info may be, it is not intended to diagnose, cure, treat, or prevent any disease. It's strictly for informational purposes.

Dr. Martin:  Well, good morning everyone, and once again, how are you and welcome to another live this morning. Hope you're having a great start to your day. Okay, did you see my shirt, eggs, meat and cheese? How do you like that? Okay, I might as well talk about it because you know me, I love eggs, meat and cheese. Okay, so I listened to an interview with a guy that used to be involved in big Pharma and now is sort of becoming a whistleblower. And I listened to the interview and does anything shock me anymore? It shouldn't, but there are things that shock me. And what this guy was saying on its way to be the number one selling medication, well, on its way of all time will be a medication for diabetes. And it's called ozempic. Now, you guys have heard of it. It's sort of a new designer drug.

I always say, I wish I would've invested. Okay. I wish I would've invested. Why do I say that? Well, look, I mean, if you could look into the future and you had some money to play in the stock market, I said this on my radio show years ago, why didn't I invest money in the little blue pill for erectile dysfunction? Remember how big that got? And millions of millions of men using that medication. I used to talk about it on my radio show. Why didn't I invest in that back in the eighties? Why didn't I invest in statin drugs, cholesterol lowering medication, even if I didn't believe in them, why didn't I invest in them?

And now we have a new designer drunk. And according to this whistleblower is saying that it will absolutely become the number one selling medication of all time, Ozempic. And it's not because it's becoming a number one selling medication because of diabetes. Nope. It's for obesity. And just recently the American Pediatric Association have approved that drug for kids. And guys, it takes my breath away to see the way we handle things. We handle problems in our society today. It's almost, if you didn't see it happening before your eyes, you would think, well, it's not possible that we're going down this road.

It's not possible. How could people, they want to take a drug for a food problem and something that can not easily fixed, but certainly can be fixed. Houston, we got a problem in our world. No doubt about that. Diabetes is if guys, you know me and when this whole virus thing was coming out, I told you a few things I suggested to you that number one, we're looking for love in all the wrong places because we were putting all our emphasis on closing society down, wearing masks, get a vaccine, do this and do that. And guys, what I was saying to you is the elephant in the room is first of all, the only people really getting sick were the very aged and people who had metabolic syndrome.

And unless we get at the root cause and build our immune system, you know me, I was telling people get in the sun as they were closing the beaches, get in the sun. It's the best thing you can do. And was I right? I was absolutely right. I was absolutely right. Here we have a problem. We've got a major problem in North America with obesity and big pharma. They have a medication for diabetes, which is very much related to obesity, and we'll talk about that in a minute, but they're not stupid. They convince everyone that we have a fix. Here's a pill. Here's a pill that will do the job. And they're smart man. They're smart. They go after media, they go after Hollywood.

They get people to promote it. Hollywood. And look, guys, you know this, but we just got to reinforce it. We got to reinforce this. The Bible talks about an invisible world. You can't see it, but it's there. If you read the Bible in Ephesians chapter six, and it says, look, there's an invisible war going on. Invisible world and an invisible war going on. Okay? Now whether you believe the Bible or not, I do, and there's an invisible war, okay? Now there is a war going on right in front of us and it has to do with our health.

And it's this. There's big pharma and man, they're powerful. They spend more money than any other industry on television. They sponsor more shows and news and whatever on television than any other industry. Well, if you do that, it's hard for TV reporters and whatever to sort of get, well, you know what? We should be careful of this new medication. It's not that new, but now it's been rebranded called Ozempic or Wavy. But big pharma has got their teeth. They got their teeth in the media and they got their teeth in medical school. A hundred percent. They sponsor all the research. They do their own research. And I'm not saying they shouldn't do research, but when you sponsor everything, you owe me. I'm sponsoring you now. You owe me medical schools, you owe me. Okay? So you have that, and then you have the media bought and paid for, and you have individual doctors who are being pressured to give this prescription.

Guys, I've watched it with other medications. I watched it with SSRIs, antidepressants. I watched it happen and it became the go-to for depression, a quick fix. And I'm telling you, when it came out, SSRIs, like Prozac, they had a black box warning use only temporarily. I'll tell you, I had patients come in my office that had been on antidepressants for 35, 40 years. I can't come off Doc, what's going to happen to me if I come off and nobody getting at the underlying thing at all. It was a bandaid, but you got the medical profession and it's a script, and it became just very much like a statin drug, like statin drugs. Oh, you have cholesterol, you're on this the rest of your life. Don't ask any questions. You're on this. You want to have a heart, you want to die. And the poor patients in the office, what are they supposed to do? Your doctor is telling you, unless you take this medication, you are going to die. What do you think's going to happen?

Right? You talk about powerful, you talk about how they infiltrate society and get their job done. Guys, it's an invisible war, okay? You got to look behind the scenes and see what's happening. And then I've always told you this, the food industry and Coca-Cola, Pepsi-Cola, okay? Where do you think obesity comes from? The food industry? And is there anything more addictive than food? Cocaine's got nothing on sugar. You think they're stupid? Well, how did they become conglomerates by making people addictive to their foods. So you have a perfect storm, you have big pharma, you have medicine that know nothing about nutrition. Think about this for a minute, guys, think about this for a minute. Do you know that doctors still today, here's what they know about weight loss. Here it is in a nutshell, move more and eat less, move more, eat less.

That's all they know. You can slap them with metabolic syndrome, high A1C, high triglycerides, low, HDL, high blood pressure, elevated blood glucose, and you can slap them with it. But until you're dying or you're a diabetic, and if you're a diabetic, here's a drug. When the problem is not a lack of a medication, the problem is food. And it can be fixed. It can be fixed. When you look at obesity, I always used to tell patients this, okay, I did this for years, guys. I would say one thing, if you don't do anything else, okay? If you only do one thing, cut out sugar and watch what happens.

And they soon found out that they were sugar holics when I told them to cut it out, cut it out, and watch what happens. Don't count, don't do anything. Just cut out sugar. What? Yeah, okay. They looked at me like I had two heads and I said, watch what happens. It's not a lack of ozempic. I've seen this happen. I've seen this movie before, guys. I've seen it with SSRIs. I've seen it with statin drugs. And now we're seeing, I saw it with Ed, how they convinced the world that they were lacking a pill. I mean, give them credit guys. I mean, if you ever want to take a business course on marketing, if you want to get marketing 1 0 1 watch. And guys, I'm just telling you, this Ozempic thing has only just begun.

It's only just begun. It's a designer drill. I read this and I said, no, it can't be happening facetiously because I knew it was happening. But the American Pediatric Association is recommending as a treatment for childhood obesity. They're recommending this medication. Here's the problem, okay? I mean, there's a lot of problems, but let me give you, I wrote down five, okay? Let me give you five reasons that you should never take this medication, in my opinion. One, it's like a diabetic. So a diabetic. If they get a medication like metformin, which is a very popular medication, they don't tell you this maybe on the first day, but they will tell you after this, you're on this for life because you're a diabetic. See? And actually, here's what also happens to a diabetic. You're a diabetic. You should be on a statin drug. Why? Because if you're a diabetic, you're much more susceptible to heart disease. Therefore, we're going to put you on metformin for your diabetes and a statin drug.

Even if your cholesterol is normal and you think of it, you're a patient and your doctor's telling you, you got to take this, okay? It's hard to argue with your physician, okay? So when they put you on ozempic, what they don't tell you, this is for life, this is for life, this medication, because, and they don't tell you this, but the soon as you come off of it, a lot of people do, by the way, they get so many side effects, which I'll talk about in a minute. But you're on this medication for life. Could the day you come off, your weight's coming back on, guys, it works. You want to lose weight. And you know me, and I got to reinforce this because every day, every day, every day, I have to answer the question, Dr. Martin, I did the reset or I'm on the reset and I'm not losing enough weight.

Because that is their standard of measurement. They're measuring their weight. They're on this scale, and they want to lose weight. And I understand that. But I always would tell my patients, I used to grab them by the cheeks and say, listen, Linda, listen Larry, listen to me for a minute. I want to fix the problem first. I want to fix metabolic syndrome. I want to lower your insulin resistance. I want to empty your liver. I want your kidneys to get a break. I want your brain to run on a better fuel. Trust me, trust me. Don't start with weight loss. Don't start with that because you are going to be susceptible to the marketing of a medication. A quick fix. You cannot start that medication without staying on that medication. Two, the weight that you lose, okay? The weight that you lose is not fat.

It's mostly muscle or that's not good, folks, that's not good because muscle guys is what you want. Muscle, and I've taught you this again and again and again. Muscle is like an endocrine organ. Muscle is every bit as important in your body as your thyroid is. That's how important muscle is. Muscle is so important to glucose and storage metabolically in metabolic syndrome. That's why we're always telling people get strong. It's stronger. Everybody can get stronger, okay? Get stronger metabolically. Okay? So here's the side effects. If you start, you stay. If you start, you stay, you stay on it. They don't tell you that, but that's what it is. Two, the weight that you lose is muscle more than fat. That's not good. That's upside down. That's why guys, when you do the reset, and one of the side effects is weight loss. Okay? Like 99% of people lose weight, but it's losing the right weight. Why? Because you're not losing muscle. Why? Because you're eating so much protein.

It's not a matter of you're just eliminating right calories. Oh, let's lower calories, okay? It's not lowering calories. It has nothing to do with that. It's a matter of changing fuels. So you're going from a carbo holic to a protein and fat holic. You're switching fuels, you're going to rocket fuel, okay? So therefore, any weight, that's why it's not rapid weight loss for most people because muscle is very dense. You want to lose fat, not muscle. And what you eat counts is not calories, guys. That's why you never hear me talking about calories, right? I don't talk about calories. I don't want to hear about calories. Who cares? It's like cholesterol. You can't make me care. I don't care. Send me your cholesterol. I'll look at it, but I don't care. Well, I do. I care about HDL. I don't care about LDL. I don't care about total cholesterol. I don't care. You can't make me. It doesn't matter.

Okay? Here's a huge one, ozempic. And now the lawsuits are coming in stomach paralysis and gastro paralysis, paralysis of the stomach. Oh yeah, but I lost weight. Oh yeah, but my stomach don't work anymore. Hello? That's why most people come off of it, not because they're not losing weight, because their stomach is driving them crazy. So many digestive issues. And those things can be permanent, my friend. And what happens when you play with the stomach and the gut? You know what happens? You become very deficient in B12 and vitamin D. Now, they won't tell you that, but that's a fact.

And another side effect. Depression. Think about it. Depression. Dr. Martin, what is PIC got to do with depression? Well, let me ask you a question to my audience. That is the smartest in the world. Where is most of serotonin foul? Somebody answer, where is serotonin found? Tell me, where is most of it? Diana? Oh, they're smarty pants. Tina, smarty pants. Sherry, smarty pants. You guys are too smart. Rita, you're too smart. Sonia, too smart Rose, you guys, I love you guy. Barbara, Kevin, Robin, Bruno. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You guys got it. Barbara. Another Barbara. Carol. You guys know the answer to this. Why is this? Joanie, Cecilia? Listen, 95% of your serotonin, you know what? Serotonin is your feel good? Why do you think, okay, what are SSRIs, guys? Serotonin medication to uptake of serotonin. But in the brain, SSRIs, what they don't tell you is almost all of your serotonin is found in your gut, not in your brain.

It's in your gut. So now you take something that messes up your gut pic, messes up your gut, and guess what they're finding? Oh, you'll lose weight. But you might think about committing suicide. And guys, I wish I was joking. I'm not joking. I'm watching this happen, guys, right before my eyes. I've been saying it for a year or so or more. I didn't like it because it's not addressing the problem. And now they're going after. Imagine. Well, I mean, if you own this medication, okay, think about it. You had the patent on it, and you go, this is a European company, by the way.

It's a European company. They can't use it for weight loss in Europe. They don't allow it. Did you know that? You're not allowed to prescribe it for weight loss. You can prescribe it for diabetes, but you can't prescribe it in Europe. It's against the law. So what do they do? You think they're stupid? They look at North America and go, look at all the Fat Sos over there. Look at the problem over there. Obesity. 80% are either overweight or obese, clinically obese. And they go, what a minefield we have over there. We're winning the sweepstakes. So let's go after the doctors. Let's get the media on our side. Let's get the naysayers out of the way, and it's full steam ahead in North America, and let's get after the Hollywood actors and actresses. Let's give it to them free. If they want it, they will become our evangelists.

And they'll talk about it on talk shows. Oh yeah, pic, I mean, it works. So they're not stupid guys. Anyways, I wanted to bring you today behind the scenes. So when you look at the news and you hear about a designer drug like this, and you go, okay, yeah, no wonder, but you know better they're not tackling the problem of food because the problem is addiction in foods. Any who? Okay, now, okay, if you guys want, I did an interview on YouTube. Okay? So I don't know. I don't Look, guys, you know what? I know not much when it comes to platforms like YouTube. Okay? But I did an interview, okay? So let me just show you here. And it's called Muscle Rx, so type that in on YouTube, muscle Rx, okay, hold on. See, where is it? It's Muscle Rx. See my Pyramid? Okay, muscle Rx with Dave Palumbo. I did an interview there, lasts about an hour on cholesterol. I think you'll really enjoy it. Okay? And I was telling Dave about my audience. I said, Dave, you think you got a smart audience? I got the smartest audience, my audience. Okay? But if you guys would like, and I don't know if you got YouTube, you can have YouTube on your tv. I didn't even know that.

It's Muscle Rx. Okay, muscle Rx with Dave Palumbo, and I'm on there. Okay? I'm being interviewed there on Cholesterol, by the way. So if you want to go over there, go over there and you can watch that and tell your friends, anybody that's got questions about cholesterol, I go through with a fair amount of detail there. Guys, we love you. Thank you for coming on. You're so great, Julie. You got it right and all the folks, okay. Okay. Talk to you soon.
