What To Look For In A Good Probiotic...
Transcript:
Dr. Martin Jr : Knowing the importance of probiotics for every aspect of health, we set out to create, basically, the best possible probiotic. Again, because we deal with this every day, we had to actually have and create the best probiotic. Here's what we looked at when we made our probiotic formula.
First of all, we talk about this all the time, multiple strains. Maybe talk about why that's important.
Dr. Martin Sr : It's important because different strains do different [00:00:30] things. People don't realize the importance of what we call a broad spectrum probiotic. If you take a broad spectrum antibiotic, you might understand what that is. A doctor gives you an antibiotic because you got an infection in your toe. Well, it will go everywhere. It will get, obviously, into the blood stream and go after the infection in your toe. That's called a broad spectrum antibiotic.
Well, you want that also in a probiotic because multiple [00:01:00] strains do different things. We just mentioned L reuteri, and the importance of it. I always tell people, look, you'd better make sure you got the right probiotic strain because, if you have candida albicans, if you want to increase, like you just mentioned, testosterone, if you want to lower the effects of mold, of a candida, protozoa, bacteria, certain strains do different things.
Dr. Martin Jr : In our immune [00:01:30] boosting formula, we have L reuteri and rhamnosus in there. That makes up a big part of that. We found that was very important to add because of the immune system. A lot of studies have shown the effect, as we mentioned even earlier, on cancer and stuff like that, so we wanted to add that in there. That's the first thing we looked at we had to have. Because you have so many different types of bacteria that are vital to health, we wanted to create a probiotic that had a lot of strains. That was the first thing that we wanted to do.
Also, here's another thing that we wanted to do when we created a probiotic, which is create one [00:02:00] that had a high enough dosage because that's a big issue as well. You have so many bacteria that are necessary that you have to get a lot of them in order to join the fight, so we wanted to create one. What we did is we created one that contains 50 Billion probiotics per capsule, and the analogy that we always ... to give people an idea how powerful that is, that a lot of people associate probiotics with yogurt, and by the way, yogurt is not a great source of probiotics, but you would have to eat 16,000 [00:02:30] 4 oz containers of yogurt to get the probiotic content of one capsule, and by the way, you wouldn't even get all the strains anyways.
Dr. Martin Sr : Yeah, you'd get a little bit of only one strain, really.
Dr. Martin Jr : Just think about the powerful effect one capsule has in terms of probiotics, so we wanted to create one that, as we mentioned, were a high enough dosage of probiotics.Â
Also, a big aspect of probiotics is we wanted to create one that was shelf stable. That's important because probiotics, they [00:03:00] are living. They are very finicky. They die off quickly, so if they're not handled properly, if they're not stored properly, if they're not transported properly, it can lead to a lot less active bacteria, so you wanted one that's shelf stable, and we do that because ours are, basically, soil based, which makes them very shelf stable.
Here's another aspect as well that is important. Because it's such a vital thing for your health, the price has to be good [00:03:30] for people in order to be able to afford to take it. This is one of the things that people, when they start taking probiotics, they understand. What I did is, I looked at some of the more common, best selling ones.
Here you have a probiotic formula that does have 50 Billion per capsule; however, 30 of them cost $39.99, so that's $1.33 a capsule. Here's another big one that's found on Amazon. This one [00:04:00] actually is a 60, and it's on Amazon, so you know, Amazon is usually cheap for everything, and that's 88 cents a capsule. Here's another one as well that you can buy at Walmart, and this is $1.38 a capsule.Â
Here's ours, and this is what I'm saying. I mean, it's 55 cents a capsule, plus the right strains, plus the right dosage. I mean, the value of them is just ... It's awesome, and we did that-
Dr. Martin Sr : Shelf stable.
Dr. Martin Jr : [00:04:30] Yeah, and we did that because we understand the value and importance of probiotics for health, so we wanted to make it so that people can actually take it. Here's a big thing as well, and this is what we tell people that sets ours apart as well, aside from the strains, the amount, is the fact that it was formulated by us.
Dr. Martin Sr : They're hand picked. We have enough experience with probiotic to know that, again, certain strains do different things. When [00:05:00] I analyze probiotics that are out there, a lot of times, they're missing very important strains that do different things, when you look at autoimmune, you look at your immune system, you look at ones that go after a certain type of bacteria, ones that are famous for building up the immune system and other things.
This is why we hand picked them. It's very important that [00:05:30] our product be at the top of the list.
Dr. Martin Jr : This is really the bottom line here. Because we are a real clinic, and we see real patients, and we've been doing it for a long time, unlike most other supplement makers, we see people. If we recommend something, and they come back in, and it ain't working, we've got to look them in the eye. We've got to get real results, and we do.
I know this has been going on [00:06:00] for a bit here, but here's a couple of testimonials of people here. This is a person that they've ... how much probiotic has helped them. It's improved their allergies, it's helped them get rid of the dark allergy eyes and all that kind of stuff that goes on with it.
Here's another one. Here as well, big difference, helping them lose weight, again, for some people that's an aspect of it. It's leading to insulin resistance so that you do a bunch of things, you correct the gut, it's amazing what can happen. Here's a person [00:06:30] again, helping with heartburn. Here's somebody who's just overall their health has improved, and this is a person who's leaky gut was healed. They don't get anymore seasonal allergies. Again, as we pointed out earlier, there's a direct connection between seasonal allergies and leaky gut. Here's another person, again, they're feeling better. We can go on and on.Â
The point is this. Our probiotics, [00:07:00] we're very proud of it. It's helped a lot of people, and we want to thank you for spending the time with us on this presentation.Â
