The question we want to ask you again, at this point now is that, what stage are you in?
Do you have an idea of where you're at on that scale? If you're in the state of well being, that's awesome, and you want to make sure you do everything you can to stay on the left side of the scale. Now if you feel that you're just starting to get some symptoms, and you're starting to move down that path, then you're obviously in that stage two, stage three, and then stage four. We just want you to think for a few seconds [00:00:30] and say, "Okay, where do I find out?" Again, it's a little bit of a fluid scale.
You could be moving along in that path. We just want you to get a better understanding of this here.
The reason why is that each stage requires a different approach, and, also, each stage will, also, require a different way of eating, and each stage will also require a little bit different of [00:01:00] a treatment approach. It is vital to find out where you are at the road from health disease.
What I'd like at this point, just real quickly, if you can just type in to the Q&A box again is if this stuff makes sense if you're enjoying it, just so that we know that word before we move on a little bit, whether or not, and we're almost wrapping up here anyway.
We just want to make sure that everybody's understanding, and they have an idea what's going on and that they [00:01:30] are enjoying the material that they're getting, so if you could just put that in there and that'll let us know. Thank again.
We're going to go through a few more things. Perfect. We appreciate it. That's good, because we get excited about talking about these things. We just want to make sure that people are enjoying it themselves because we-
Doc: This is our passion [crosstalk 00:01:49].
Doc Jr: We get excited about these things here.
Doc: This really is our passion. Somebody asked me the other day, "Doc, are you going to retire?" I said, "Well, I mean, you [00:02:00] would hurt me if you made me retire." I'm talking to you, son, because you're my boss, but retire? This is too much fun.
You never stop learning and you never stop. It's really exciting. What I really like, too, I just, for you guys that are with us tonight, it's amazing. It's amazing how many people, when they take control, it's [00:02:30] amazing. You know that the word doctor, by the way, means teacher, and I always try, and I know, Tony, you are big on this, we try and get people to understand.
Medicine, where medicine has gone wrong, in a certain way, is now the doctors don't talk to you anymore. You [00:03:00] go in to your doctor, and the very few of them, you want to ask a question. "Well, come back the next time." Good luck if you get to ask questions.
The thing is, is that I find that when patients are educated. Information is power to people. It really is because people said, "Well, if I just knew what to do." Well, look at tonight. If I just knew where [00:03:30] I was at. Anyways, look, we're very passionate about it.
Doc Jr: Another question we get asked all the time is people say, "Well, how do I find out where I'm at? How do I find out what stage I'm in? How do I find out where I'm at?"
Another question we get asked is, "If I'm not well, I'm not sure where do I start," and then, "Where do you start if you are frustrated?" We get a lot of people that email us and call us and they come in and they're frustrated. They don't feel [00:04:00] well or they know something's wrong, and, yet, they can't seem to get any answers.
Also, what should you do if you're diseased? What happens if you have heart disease? What happens if you have type 2 diabetes? What do you do at this point?
These are all things that are ...
Maybe you're healthy and you want to stay that way, so what do you do? Well, this is why, again, we developed a testing system, and we talk with this all the time. Sometimes, we bore people with this, but we do talk about this a lot, and we developed [00:04:30] something that we call our Biomarker Testing System, and, really, it's based off the fact that the body gives clues, and we based our testing off the fact that the body gives clues all the way throughout the stages from health to disease.
We talk about some of them, too much insulin.
Doc: Insulin resistance. That's a big one.
Doc Jr: We perfected this process over the years. We've gone through. We've looked at all these things over the years. Basically, we always tell people, say, "Well, listen, there are two ways that [00:05:00] you can get your biomarkers tested. For the longest time, it was just used to be you had to come to our clinic, and we're way up in Sudbury on ...
We got people we know on this workshop from all over the place. We have people from the States. We have people from overseas, and that's a long way to come. Sudbury's not the easiest place to get to, especially in the wintertime.
Doc: It's not?
Doc Jr: Especially a day like today. What we did is we developed ... That's when we came up with the at-home test kit.
We developed a kit for that purpose, [00:05:30] and the at-home kit process is very simple, and what we like about it is the person also gets a consult after they get the results with our health coach, who's fantastic, and has been very well trained in all this stuff. It's a very exciting thing.
